Article updates

A subscription request records your email address, your consent and its date, and whether you have confirmed or unsubscribed. Article emails go only to confirmed subscribers. Every article email includes an unsubscribe link.

Queries

The queries form saves your message, email address, query type, any name you choose to provide, and the submission date. These details let us consider your question and respond. They are not published by submitting the form, and they do not subscribe you to updates.

On this device

The site remembers whether you dismissed the signup prompt or requested updates, so it can avoid asking repeatedly. These preferences stay in your browser; your email address is stored separately on the server. Clearing browser storage or using another device may show the prompt again.

Changes or removal

Use the unsubscribe link in an article email to stop updates. To ask about or request removal of information you submitted, use the queries form and select “Privacy request”.
